A True Wish | To Keep Going Before the Path Reveals Itself

Years ago, a wise person gave me these words. Only now am I slowly beginning to understand what a true wish really is.

A true wish is not something we choose to persist in only after seeing the outcome. Nor do we continue simply because someone responds or someone is listening. It means being willing to set out, and willing to act on that wish, even when the path has not yet clearly revealed itself.

My wish is to bring Light Language as an art form into the world. I want to sing full-length Light Language opera through complete improvisation, and I hope that one day I may let it resound within an old opera house.

It is a big wish, and it has also brought me doubt, exhaustion, and long periods of struggle. Is this truly my wish? Can it become real? Or is it nothing more than an impossible dream?

Yet whenever I turn inward, I know that I have never truly wanted to give up. Even if only a few people are listening now, I am still willing to sing and to create—one piece after another, continuing to give voice to Light Language.

I entrust this struggle, longing, and resolve to sound.
